SAFETY MANAGEMENT SERVICES

We want to share with you how we create a culture of safety within our project team and how this helps us spread it down to the field. Our approach leans less on punitive and reactive as it does towards proactive and constructive. We believe a preventive mentality is key to establishing an effective safety culture. We achieve this by:

• Teaching and training our field personnel to always act professionally when the culture of safety proves too difficult with a certain employee. We train them to understand the chain of command and to utilize it, unless IDLH conditions are present. If IDHL conditions arise, field personnel are instructed to eliminate the condition immediately.Ensuring that focused and detailed observations by our team are always followed by quick corrective actions and follow through.

We continuously work to enlist employees to actively care by:

• Having them understand that we are there to get them home safe, not impede work or get in their way. Although we are there to ensure compliance with all laws, rules, and regulations, more importantly, we are there to watch over them, as opposed to disrupt their work. Once this concept is instilled in them, they are more apt to accepting our guidance, instead of feeling the need to oppose us.Instilling in workers a desire to work safely and to keep their coworkers safe as well. This is done by discussing, through toolbox talks that pertain to the actual work and the risks involved, how to take steps to identify and mitigate risks before they are even created. Creating a team effort by asking the workers to identify risks and share with us if risk is a possibility.
